Default LS Compound Boost Motor

Follow along as we put our compound boost LS motor on an engine dyno for initial testing. We're happy with the results as the numbers speak volumes, but we feel there's more left on the table

Would be interesting to see how it responds if you converted it to sequential boost

I had an old mechanic friend tell me this trick a long time ago and it is nothing new. People have been doing stuff like this for years. All i can say is i hope he has one hell of an intercooler other wise those numbers are going to fall off quick. Great results though none the less and hope whatever this is going in has one hell of a tire.

Post a graph.

Hell of an engine dyno to hold 1000 at 2500.

What is the advantage of running compound boost compared to just turning up the boost?

To an extent.... You get the down low torque of the roots blower, and then the high end hp of a bigger turbo. I wish a graph was posted but am guessing if the wastegate is set similar to the blower levels then it has a relatively flat torque curve. Where just a big turbo would have a supra torque curve.

First look I would have thought m112 but it has to be something bigger. That would be a huge restriction at these levels. m122? Bigger? Doesn't look huge.

The down side is that blower can become a restriction to the turbo. So while each fills in the others weak spots, they also restrict each other.

That said. Find me a turbo setup that makes 1200# at 2500rpm. I'm impressed with the results so far.

Why not just a compound turbo setup?
