Default Bolt On G8 Dyno Results

I just had my car tuned at Pat G's place in Victoria with the mods in my sig. The numbers are alittle lower than expected but better than average from what Pat said. It is a Mustang dyno after all, not an optimistic dynojet. The car runs great, better than what the dyno suggests honestly. I realize this is just a bolt on car though.

I can't say enough good things about Pat! IMO he's one of the best tuners in the country and will take as much time needed to get all the part throttle, trans tuning, etc dialed in until you're satisfied. To me that's what separates the good tuners from the great ones. The last tuner I used in KY, Bluecat, is the same way, very focused attention to detail beyond the WOT runs.

I did get a decent 50-105 run with an M6 GXP with the same mods as me except with a stock intake and a Pat G AutoCal email tune. It was dead even, although he was starting to build alittle momentum at the end, probably enough to pull 1-2 cars by ~130 from not having to shift. I'm happy how mine runs!

Not sure how far I'll go with this car as it's my daily driver. I do have a stealth h/c combo in mind though; the DOD lifters will probably end up making that decision for me....

Get rid of the DoD and VVT and use either a stock ls3 cam or something a little bigger and pick up close to 50hp

Yeah you're right, the numbers are in line; I was just wishing for more. They're really a wash though as the car does run better than they suggest, having kept up with an M6 GXP from a roll past 100 with practically the same mods.

If I cam this thing, I'll consider putting VVT in (and deleting DOD) if it'll allow me to run a cam with alittle more overlap yet keeping the idle smooth and no surging. Don't know much about GM's VVT system yet.

I would keep the VVT and ditch the DOD. You will see a nice power increase.
