Rebuilt LS1 under performing for cam/head combo
I recently did a LS swap into my pro touring 68 camaro. It's a stock rebuilt short block other than ARP bolts. The heads are 243's with a stage 1 p/p from PRC. The cam is a TR230/224 111lsa. Intake is a LS2 with DBW. Ford red top injectors with a PSI wiring harness. Long tube headers with true duals into spin techs. Running gear T56, ford 9" 3.89 and 315 rear tires. The car put out a pathetic 340 to the rears!!!! The car runs great/strong and is snappy. But it does feel like 340hp. The tuner said the air flow #s were equivalent to a 400+ engine. Any ideas advice. I think I'm going to start with replacing the fuel injectors. I have a TBSS intake and it looks like it will fit. I just can't believe how bad it under performed

There's 60+ hp missing somewhere. I have a FUel pressure gauge under the hood. I will have to video it while driving hard to see if the pressure drops. The tuner didn't say anything about the fuel pressure being baf

It was a mustang dyno, but it also feels like a 340hp car. I had a 99SS M6 with around 380 hp and I remember that car ripping harder. The ls2 intake I bought used and the owner said it had a port job. It did look like work was done to it. I wonder if the intake could b effecting it in a bad way. Only other major issue is I bought the heads on CL, my visual inspection passed. I just pulled the plugs. They look pretty good.

I am running the ford red tops. What is an injector driver? I'm really considering new injectors. I plan to run a compression test on all 8 tonight. As I'm doing a ridiculous amount of research in wondering if the stock ls6 springs are causing my valves to float a little. I've read there good for up to .600 lift. I'm around .575

Compression test shows 195-200 on all 8. Reviewed the dyno no loss of power in upper rpm so not likely valves floating. I guess I will have to run it 1/4 mile or take it to another dyno.

if your sure the tuner knows what hes doing i'd try swapping injectors. double check the TB is opening all the way. MAF sensor is clean no oil, or try another dyno? 340 is too low for an M6 with those mods.

You have a 3000 to 6500rpm powerband that is reasonably flat,
you have a ford 9" and a naturally aspirated engine,
For a 5.xL engine this is not such a bad graph considering, for a heavy vehicle it is more or less ideal.
The next step would be a turbocharger, hopefully the engine was built with one in mind.

I'm curious - what drove the decision to go reverse split?
You are losing a bit on the dyno to the 9" rear, and also your 315 tires if they are on big rims.
What clutch are you running? If your clutch is really heavy like the LS7 clutch, that can make it feel a bit slower on the street too.
Without knowing more, my gut is telling me the cam isn't jiving with your intake. Your exhaust design looks like it's as good as can be done. I can't see swapping the intake and suddenly gaining 60, but the Ls2 intake was not that good.
Is your exhaust catted? Plugged cats cost me 70 hp on a dyno once.

The split reverse was recommended by thunder racing for the old school sound and at the time good performance. The rear rims are 18x11. The exhaust is no cats mandrel bent 2.5 all the way back. New fuel injectors are definetly on the list b4 the next tune. And I do have a LS7 clutch and flywheel in it.
