Default C5Z 438 LS7 608rwhp

We just fired up the C5Z last night and put it on the rollers after work today.

BEI 438
ERL block
4.100 Manley crank
6.125 Callies rods
JE 3cc dome pistons 13.7:1
LS7 heads worked by Marv @BEI
Ti intakes
BEI Ls7 head fixes
BEI camshaft
MSD 102 ported by BEI
NW 102
Kooks 2" headers and 3" x-pipe
Stock Ti mufflers
Airraid CAI

A 1300 RPM cruise at 55mph is no problem with this setup/very smooth.

Street tune from last night netted 590rwhp as a baseline with 22 degrees and 11:1 AFR. Landed at 12:1 with 24 degrees after 4 pulls and called it good for the break in. I think it could make 630-640 with a Haltech CAI and cutouts.

Haha, I know I cannot believe how tame it sounds through the Ti mufflers!!! I can tell every one it is a cam and bolt on car and they would have no idea! Every on that hears it just comments on the sound of the air intake more then anything. I am excited to dial the combo in further now, look for more dyno testing in the future.

Yes it is a HYD roller, and I really like it. I know I am leaving power on the table for sure but the drive abillity makes it worth while. My engine warm up in the AM consists of hitting the key and driving out of the garage and straight down the road. So nice and easy warm up drive shifting at 1600rpm for the first 10min and then its time to jam.
