AFR head dyno's
I know the 225's are the ones for the big engines but, what would the 205's do on a 400+ci LS1? Would the torque look like a diesel?
As far as the dyno, I want to see someone that has all the bolt ons, a 224 or larger cam and another set of stg 2 heads. I want to see the increase from that swap. Basically take a 420-430 rwhp car and just swap to the AFR heads. Is that too far fetched to believe?
Also, when I say all the bolt on's I am talking about the ones we have been using for the past year. Not all this brand new, extremely expensive stuff that is just now being used by a few people.
I would like to see these test cars WITHOUT...
1) 90 MM LSX Intake $800
2) 90 MM TPIS TB $600
3) Elec WP $569
4) Stainless 1 7/8 to 2" headers $1200
Maybe I am naive, but the average guy can't afford to have those mods, along with the $2400 AFR heads.
Most people dont want to hear "You too can have 480-500 rwhp on your street car if you have 6000+ to spend on parts and maybe another couple grand to spend on labor.
Flame Away!

no flame.. where did you come up with 1 7/8 to 2 in headers??
i talked to tony.. i'm positive he said he has lg motorsport headers
now, these are supposed to be killer.. however they still are 1 3/4.
Thanks to TEA of Kentucky for getting us on the dyno today! Very professional, smart group of guys.
Hot, humid, it pulled to mirror pulls at 448.xx HP/403.xx TQ. Lots of area from 4800-7200, with a peak of 6600 HP, 5000 TQ.
The TEA guys ROCK!!
Anyways, we were running fat after 4800, using stock mufflers, and zero dyno tricks on ET Streets. Estimate 465+ rwhp in "dyno mode" with more tuning.
Not as much power as I need tomorrow, but not too shabby either. Will post ET tomorrow.
Here is his whole thread. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/194118-first-impressions-afr-205cc-heads.html
Impressive number's with that cam.
No graph, too bad.
