Default Ls2 swap on a V6

I知 doing an Ls2 swap right now and I wanted to know how much power it値l make at the wheels;
-LS2 SBE
-LS3 Intake
-LS3 heads P&P
-42lb injectors
-Stage 3 btr cam
-Btr spring kit
-New timing set
-Built 4l80e
-3600 Stall
-Carbon Fiber shaft
-Ford 9in Rear 3.23-3.73 gears (depends)
-Possibly ~100-150 shot of nitrous, down the road
My builder suggests that it値l be ~550 at the wheels just want to see what others got with the same set up.

Being a stalled auto I'm thinking more like 480-500 rwhp on an honest dyno. But hard to say since dynos vary

I know this may sound dumb but would it make a difference if I locked the torque converter or if I left it loose?

It's hard to say, and depends on several factors, but usually having it locked will produce higher numbers

Okay ill see, he was saying over 500 hp will be easy and with p&p heads it'll make 30-50 plus hp making 550ish

Yeah I don't see it making 550 rwhp with a stalled auto but you never know

I see 440-450 RWHP . no way in hell you're getting close to 500, let alone 550.

I wouldn’t think an ls2 is going to do over 500rwhp with an auto, but hey what do I know. Post the numbers!

It might do 550 at the wheels with a 100 shot of spray, but not a chance naturally aspriated.
I agree with Mavn...440 to 450 rwhp naturally aspriated.

I think a lot of the dyno numbers will come down to what dyno is used and how the 4L80e was built, the converter and if it's locked on the dyno.

On a honest correctly calibrated DynoJet:

435whp to 450 whp unlocked
440whp to 460 whp locked

525whp-550whp on 100 shot

BTW - quality ported LS3 heads are typically a 25-35 hp gain. Bigger engines might see more. I would wonder about the engine builder's LS experience if he said 50 whp NA for ported heads or 550 whp NA in a stalled auto.

so ended up trading the ls2 for a ly6 and upgraded the cam to a stage 4. Still assembling it right now and should be finished by May.

Agree with the guys saying ~440rwhp N/A, that's the ballpark I'm in with my car.
