Default My Shitty Max Numbers ...

My sig shows shitty max numbers ... shorties and CAT inlet pipes. I HATE the max numbers I got and was SUPER disappointed. Hot weather, tuner, whatever ... none of the variables mentioned will overcome my restrictions.

But, there is a positive. After my dyno tune and 5 pulls, well, even though I was soooo disappointed, I realized that my power down low is better than most that I am seeing on the street. This A4 on street tires and stock converter(launching easy) consistently does 0-60 mph from a dead start in 4.2 with a stopwatch. Done it aover a dozen times with three different stopwatches to make sure I was halucinating.

Nothing in town has been able to hang with me and there are a LOT of F-bodys and '03-'04 Mustangs that have tried. It may be a different story up top, but, I'll let ya'll know when I get out on the Interstate and get challenged ... whether I can handle these sorts of cars from a 55-70 mph roll. My mods were intially planned for power down low and that's what I got. Drag strip may kill me in the 1/4. Please let me know what ya'll think. Will I get eaten alive my first trip to the track? I'll buy Nitto's or ET's before I go, but, I can't afford a T/C right now.

Please provide your honest opinions ... however brutal they may be.

the shorties aren't any better than stock manifolds... I know, I had them on my car 3 years ago... picked up about 25rwhp going to dynatechs

Default I disagree ...

In 2000, the F-body got newly designed stock manifolds that flow better because the '98-'99 manifolds sucked BIGTIME. Your statement would be true for '00-'02 model, however, the shorties did net me a little on my '99. The shorties do scavenge and give a little better low-end torque waaaaaay down low ... not much, though. LT's will go on someday ... just can't afford it right now. Thanks for your reply 383ss.
