Default Back by Request: My FMS 408ci SuperStroker Dynosheet.

http://www.futralmotorsports.com/ima...nceFMSdyno.jpg

I have had many request for this dyno. This setup made more tq at 3200rpm than my 348ci made at peak. We will get a chance to see how this engine does in a C5 real soon.

What's really killer is this setup is HIGHLY STREETABLE. I let several people drive my car and they were surprised by its street manners. One person made a comment that the car feels like a H/C car on the juice at WOT..

Very nice Vince. Can you feel the extra weight of the iron block up front? What do you shift at? Looks like about 6500 rpm would be about right, and that's sweet because you don't have to spin you motor to the moon to make power. When are you going to swap motors with the Vette? Should be a killer "street" machine, if you know what I mean.

I never got the car engine dyno'd but the math says its around 620 to 660hp for engine dyno #'s. I never ever noticed the iron block in the car Tq does that

Cool! Just out of curiosity, what is it like from lets say 1.5-3k rpm? Depending on the cam just wondering what it does at low RPMs.

It feels like a H/C car just cruising. Below 1800rpm's in 4th around town you will get a lil bucking, but I usually shift to 3rd and keep her right at 2krpm. Now in 6th it does not buck at 1500rpm's at highway speeds. Which I think is weird, because you feel that it wants to be around 2krpm.

I personally think at this horsepower level it is hard to keep a NA car as streetable as a SC'd car at the same horsepower level, but FMS did it. My only question is will it be as streetable in the C5?

His car is honest to God gonna be scary, He plans on hitting it with nitrous on top of the 408s NA power that is what is crazy.

But I'm with Damian on the he's a puss thing.

Awesome.

How about some details...
Compression
Cam
Heads

The reduction in gear causes it to buck less. There is a slight load change, and minor variations in power (i.e. surge) get eaten by .5 overdrive ratio.
