Default Altitude comparison Here

Just got back from the Dyno Edge here in Albuquerque. My power loss guesstimate was almost right on the money. I lost a total of 54hp and 64 lb. ft. of torque at the wheels compared to my last run in Tacoma, WA.

The only 'power' modification I've done since I moved last December was an electric water pump.

Here's the corrected #'s: Corrected

Here's the uncorrected #'s: Uncorrected

Here's my last run in Tacoma, WA. December 13th: Tacoma Run

I was hoping to get a corrected # of 300hp at the wheels, but I'm suspecting the only difference in setup being that I ran on my TT2's, and all my previous runs were on the stock wheels w/ DR's. There's a 12 lb. difference between the wheels. So I probably lost a couple hp due to rotational mass. Oh well, close enough for me. Time to get that cam installed.

This is going from near sea-level to a physical altitude of 5,300 ft. Typical DA around here in Albuquerque is 7,000-8,000 ft.

I thought I was clear.... I'm just showing people how altitude sucks the life out of an N/A car compared to sea level. I moved here to Albuquerque in January. FYI, I've also lost 1.2 seconds off my best E.T. in Seattle.

Can't say how discouraging it is to run the same E.T.'s now that I did when I was a newbie at the track and only had a CAI and a cat-back.

I would love to run near sea level and see how my car should run but I will have to run my 500 hp car here and get some low 13s high 12s.
