i'm wondering if anyone has any graphs with valve float? I just want to compare with my own graphs. I think i have a float problem . HP peaks at 430@6000 and hangs there until 6800. Before I did heads the HP peaked at 420@6300 and then tapers off. Any help would be appreciated!

 

I'll see if allan can send mine to me. Mine basically hit 4800, dips down about 25 hp and then begins to climb again.

 

Here's my dyno sheet...the cam is an XER 226/230 .600/.600 110...this, combined with YT 1.7 rockers, floated the valves through the MTI double springs...

 

I have the Crane doubles( striped) with shims to a 1.705 installed height(.075 shim). I just don't think these cranes are up to the task-they may work fine with stock heads but with aftermarket heads and a bigger valve I don't think they have enough rate. For example I had the manley singles in on Z06 heads, cam only it would peak at 420@6300 then drop off. Now with heads (AS stage 2.5 5.3)and these crane springs the car hits 430@6000 and then carries it.
