Default Where In The Torque Curve?

For the stock LS-1 engine at what rpm do you reach at least 85% of max torque? 2500, 2800, 3000 or what rpm?

im fairly sure the LS1 torque peak is @ 4200 RPM. 85% would likely need to be relatively close to that.

Thanks much for this. Looks like it jumps at about 3200 to 3000. My question is that this is about where the high stall tqc should come into play. So when I install the tqc I will want to get close to this rpm (3300). Of course, I will be adding headers in about two weeks and this may well shift that curve to the right, thus I would need a higher stall speed.

go with something around a 3400-3500 at least. these cars just wake right up with a nice stall in them. i drive around a 3800 on the street all the time. driveability is fine.

Do you street drive with drag radials or conventional tires?
