Mine made 420hp and 405 tq through the 12 bolt and 4.30 gears . stock 26 lb injectors and tuned to 13.5/1 a/f on allens Dyno . No signs of a fuel problem either and we pulled it to 6800 every pull. peaked around 6400 rpms

Thats weird,
While you do have heads and a ported TB, you have smaller injectors than mine. I wonder if a few of us could have gotten smaller or a bad batch of injectors in our cars. I also think my clutch is about to give out. Your 12bolt and 4.30 gears arent helping ya out either. I'm gonna go ahead and Port my TB and get some larger injectors and see if that doesnt do the trick.

So you lost power going to a FM11 over a 224?

We don't know. The only change in my car was the cam swap, LS6 to 78mm LSX intake(Made 5hp on another car), Mac headers to Flowtechs and a Hooker Catback from True Duals. We thought it was the springs so I swaped them out and that didn't help either.

I have since put my setup close to where it was before. I removed the LSX intake, put a set of Pacesetters on and back the True Duals. I am hoping to get the car dyno'd in the next few weeks. But yea, even with that setup, I lost power over my 224 and it didn't make NEAR as much as I had expected with the TEA heads.

Yea, its very odd and noone seems to know why. Or the fact it didn't make any power past 6100.

Odd. Seems like there has to be something else going on. Was this a monitered tune(IE: AutoTap/ TechII etc.?) Is it possible that you've got some weird condition that isn't allowing proper injector pulse widths/rates? Sh!tty gas lately? Just seems like 111% DC, 12:9:1 A/F, & 27-9* w/that setup means something(relatively simple)is holding it back. What's the FP look like @ WOT?

While(I realize)I'm running heads, I pulled 436/416 w/a smaller cam(F11), 29*, and 12:5:1 A/F(through a 12 bolt/4.56's/slicks), with no DC issues.

No pro here... just some thoughts....

Keep us posted.... Good luck!

I will do some math for the people that think this is impossible.....

when comparing duty cycle to hp and AFR you need to use uncorrected numbers his were 409 rwhp(colder weather means more hp which means more fuel!) I beleive, which equates to 409/.85 to get the 15% horsepower loss and fwhp is ~481 now, most LS1s drop to about 55 psi fuel pressure at WOT due to thier intank regulators, which lowers the injectors from 28.8 to 28.0x big deal.

So at the BSFC of .5 where a NA engine typically runs, the horsepower at 111% duty cycle is calculated hp is 498, so we are off by about 17 hp, so we are pretty close to what is actual, that could easily be covered by being off a psi in fuel pressure, or a few hundreds in BSFC or a few % in drivetrain loss....... hope this helps some people, out.
I will also state yes these injectors can do a lot as far as HP wise, but they are completely out of control in the 400-420+ rwhp range.

Not to hi-jack his thread, but what is the ICL and LSA of your cam? My FM11 didn't make good numbers at all.
