Default Eastside Cam in!

Got my car back today, cam is in.

Car dynoed' out to 402.8 rwhp, 387.5 rwtq. Curve looks real flat, hp stays right around 400 from 5800 right up to about 6450, and the tq peaked off at about 4900, and was over 350 from about 3K all the way up to 6K.

Car's got a lid, bellow, ported TB, cam, 918's hardened pushrods, tit. retainers, u.d. pulley, QTP 1 3/4 headers, catted Y and a LM.

This is all thru a 6 speed with a heavy steel flywheel, all the belts on, a steel driveshaft and a 12 bolt.

Cam's not a huge t rex or MS3 sized cam, it's relatively small by today's standards, but is working great.

I'll try to post up the graph at some point. Car pulls real good, idles pretty good, and driving in traffic I wouldn't even know that it's there. I couldn't be happier!

I'm really not supposed to say what the cam is... but it's close to a tr 224. If it's something that you are intrested in, give Ken @ Eastside a call. I don't wanna let something out that I'm not supposed to. Needless to say, it's not huge my any means, and does make pretty good power IMO for something that is as good natured as it is. Honestly, in traffic, with the 4.10's, I couldn't even tell it's there.. other than the lope at stoplights

Dan, I sent you a P.M. Results are solid, and IMO, you can't go wrong. The setup that's in my car is not one of those huge radical things that don't idle for crap and start hard, and drive like crap because of a huge top end only powerband, other than the lope, I can't even tell that the cam is in teh car while driving around in city traffic, and when you got some room to get on it and do, it screams. Just goes to prove you don't need a cam that John Force would use to make power, the 402Hp that my car made is they a heavy 12 bolt, a steel driveshaft and a spec 4I clutch with a steel flywheel, which I do remember seeming alot heavier than the stock one when I picked the thing up. The car would have hit 415 easy thru the stock driveline.

Once the weather warms up more, if you are out in the CT area, lemme know, I'll try to hook up with ya and give you a ride in the car, I'm sure that it will speak for itself.
