ls6 intake Hey guys, is a ls6 intake worth the money on catback cars? Thinking about getting a corvette intake but don't know what you might see gains wise and where you could find it at a good price. What kind of airflow increase would you see with that mod?

From what i've seen, It should be worth at least 10-15 RWHP on a bolt on car and 15+ RWHP on a cammed car.
I would also say it depends on how far you intend to mod the car. If it's gonna eventually see a cam/heads, then go for it, otherwise, maybe/maybe not.

FWIW.. the 01-02 T/a and Camaro's had the LS6 intake as stock. So if you have a 01 or 02 you already have one
Also I dont remember which had what, but corvettes that are NOT Z06's have the ls1 just like the f-bodies. Not sure, but I dont think all vettes have the LS6 upper manifold.

The Corvette Z06 (i.e., ls6 intake) manifold has gains accross the board, not just peak hp, and huge tq increases.
It's just conjecture on my part, but my ported ls6 manifold and s3 tb felt a noticeable difference in the entire intake system sound and pull. Cool thing about it as you add more mods, the increase will be in your favor exponentially. Ls1 intake is like breathing through a straw.

Assuming ur pre01 then if i was u id just get it cuz they arent that expensive (prolly get a used one for $250bucks) and u'll gain power, more so w/ tune and cam etc etc
More than likely somewhere down they road u'll cam it, H/C, spray, or FI, since HP & TQ are addictive.

I am installing an LS6 intake and ASP crank pulley this week and will have dyno numbers the first week in May. (I know you may not want to wait that long). With a lid,bauer throttle body and cutout the car made 320 hp and 313 tq, so we shall see what the gains will be.

I did a few changes with the LS6 intake on my 99 but here is what I did...
plugs/wires/LS6 intake/Air Lid
Car made 290rwhp 310rwtq before all the above
Car made 315rwhp 332rwtq after the above
