Cam has a lot of overlap and plain and simple a big cam needs to breathe

Yes, true. But my point is that not everyone gains well from a cutout. Some get 10-12rwhp with my cam, some get none. Occassionally, that occurs with slightly bigger cams too, even with more overlap. But then again, some guys gain 15rwhp.

From what I've seen, the gains over the SLP perf. exhausts may not be huge. Though perhaps the quad exhaust isn't as good. Your headers and y-pipe are more crucial. But I'm getting off topic from this thread.

But maybe he will gain with a cutout. Who knows. Just don't expect it. Though I hope for the best for you Bonus.

Those seem pretty high IMO. Especially for a G5X2. Are these SAE? What headers and Y are you running? Are you 90/90? What bolt-ons?

I dont have high dollar heads but my car dynos 420/405 through the cutout and 396/392 through the Edelbrock cat back. Sucks power but sounds real nice. If you like the sound , just get a cutout for the track or when you know you are going to race.

yeah. just free up your exhaust a little bit, finish with bolt ons, there are a few more there for you to pick up. FWIW it does sound really good as is. I was there when you dyno'd it getting a base tune on the pcm to get my car out to dynolab to tune. but you are well on your way. you got the most expensive bolt ons out of the way already.

added pushrods, x-pipe and dual cutouts since that dyno. still waiting on pulley and vararm.

Just like a few people have mentioned, you are missing a few items to complete your "package" and after you get it all buttoned up you should be where you thought you would. The little items like a ported TB start to make bigger gains when you jump to higher flowing heads and larger cams. I would also say that if you can live with it how it is untill you can get a 90/90 setup then you should hold off and get it next year and skip on the ported TB.
