Default slp 500 hp head and cam package results

Ok let me tell you what i have done

SLP 500 hp head and cam package(non updated cam)
stock 3.42 gears 6spd. transmission
stock headers
stock cats.
gmmg exhaust
slp flow pac kit
stock ls1 intake throttle body etc.
tuned first from fastchips(which sucked) then retuned at MTI RACING by Reece

RWHP. 393.5
RWTQ. 372

pretty good if you ask me soon to come will be headers and high flow cats which Reece said should put another 30hp to the rear wheels,

what ya think? opinions appreciated just wanted to post some numbers will put dyno sheet on here tommorow

you have A LOT to gain with Longtubes,O/R Y,Cutout and LS6 intake. unless you have an 02 which already has an ls6 intake.

Pretty good numbers for stock manifolds/cats. You should definitely be in the 420 range with long tubes and no cats.

It's kinda funny how they market it as "500 hp package" leading an unknowing buyer to believe if they just bolt this stuff on they will automatically have that .... those are actually pretty decent numbers for as stock as you are.

yeah well i knew it was supposed to be around 500 at the flywheel but they said it would put down around 420 to the wheels(of course that was if i bought the 1200 dollar set of headers the wanted to sell me to)

I wasn't pointing you out to be one of those people... just saying in general (aka, that's what I would have believed a while ago when I didn't know the first thing about these cars). You're making good progress with what you have though. Nothing to look down upon

Those are STD numbers ( A little lower than the standard SAE).

Still very impressive.

With a pulley, TB, and LT headers you will easily pick up 30-40 RWHP. IMHO dont get the SLP headers. Go with something like Kooks

yeah dont worry im not going with slp headers getting them from the guy that did the dyno tune to it, they are custom fabricated just for the car, supposed to be no ground clearance problems or leaks so im going to try them. Also this setup is without the updated cam that is offered right now its
in: .576" 234º
ex: .571" 228º
Centerline - 112º Lobe Separation - 113º

they offer this cam
in: .590" 236º
ex: .590" 236º
Centerline - 112º
Lobe Separation - 112º

dont know how much of a difference it would make but i think im going to build a 408 before i do that

the question with the idle, idles awesome except for on a hot start then it wants to idle up and down a couple of times other than that no problems. You can definately tell that it has a cam in it at idle.

I can get a vid just have to figure out how to put it on here......any suggestions?

Defentially need some boltons now.
Good numbers if they are SAE corrected.
