Gear Pull Arguement?????

I was having a discussion with another guy about what gear to pull in and why? We were dyno a 2001 camaro A4 and I suggested that we roll up in 3rd gear and just after the downshift point give it hell. My question is to all you, what gear does everyone reccomend and why... Also does anyone know the downshift points at what rpm and mph? Thanks Jason

A4 cars you do a dyno pull in 3rd because the ratio is 1:1...6-speed cars you dyno in 4th for the same reason 1:1 ratio...

i think either trackbird or mitchntx has a dyno graph of them dyno their cars in different gears to show the loss/gain in power.
