Default Temperature vs. horsepower

Anyone have dyno results from drastically different times of the year on N/A motors or really anything in general? This may have been done before on here but I wasn't able to find out anything from searching.

If we can collect some data here we can maybe come up with a HP loss due to heat theory.

Just got done dyno tuning a car and the dyno room conditions were 105*

In the winter here in South Florida, I am sure the dyno see's 50-70* operating conditions.

If you have numbers from both cold times and hot times, with the same exact tune, nothing changed on the car, please post them.

I know not many of you will have this info but if so please share...

If the numbers are SAE corrected, they should be the same...

I don't think there is any correction here. I'm pretty sure this dynojet tells you the power you are making without any bullshit correction. I have seen bigger numbers in cooler temps.

Also they just had a guy in the other day with a Procharged built motor C6 with spray making big numbers and the guy was dynoing much lower than he did on a dynojet in GA when he said it was like 50's outside...

I will have to ask these guys if it factors in correction...I doubt it tho

I could be wrong but, I think the dyno makes some correction. But nothing like a motor dyno. When I went to the motor dyno the operator had a bunch of weather guages and data that he entered into the dyno. He also checked them through out the day. When I went to chassis dyno last month, I live in Chicago, it was 93 deg outside and it said the humidity was 3%! So I think they have a correction factor, I just don't think it's correct.

yes dynojet and winpep do adjustt for tempture, height above see level , humidty and other stuff but it can only correct so far. it works the other way too in extreme cold condidtions it will over correct and show less power.
the correction factor is basically for comparrisions only as a "standard" 70* no humidty i believe and get more accurate results when mods are changed as opposed to weather afficting it. of course youll make more in cold and less in heat so the correction equals it out to a point
