how to get shift points from dyno graph?

What do you look for in a dyno graph to determine shift points??total area under the curve on hp?or on the torque?

Looking at the spreadsheet on the second link. Can you effectively use it by using HP figures you have only from a 4th gear pull? So I would take the values I have from my dyno graph at each rpm and plug them into the sheet, change the gear values, and then change my shift points in each gear to maximize the average hp value?

kinda, it's gonna be an approximation, which it already is, so i guess it will be a less precise approximation.

yes to all the other questions, plus a bonus: use excel's solver function to maximize the avg hp field by playing with shiftpoints or gearing or tiresize.
