Default Dyno graph -before- internal engine mods

First Graph is stock with open y-pipe.

Second Graph is after these:

TSP Lid / AFE Filter
Stock LS6 Intake
Ported TB
Pacesetter Coated Headers
TSP True Duals w/18" Bullets

Next I'll be installing the camshaft in sig, and probably a pulley at the same time. Not sure when I'll get to those next mods but hopefully in the next few weeks.

The only other thing I'll be doing to this car ever will be PRC Stage 1.5 heads, probably sometime before Thanksgiving. Pending free time.

No, nothing yet other than emissions and skip-shift deleted. It needs one too, the exhaust was puffing black smoke during the pull, I didn't check the A/F though as I barely had time for 2 pulls after the mods. I try to stay away from the tuning stuff as much as possible. Was kinda hoping for about 4-5 more like I've seen on similiar 01-02 cars, but I'll take what it has.

does it have the older heads or the 241's?

Tunning is the fun part!

Speaking of which, I need to get mine on the dyno.

Frank, the 2000 model "853"s are on it now, I wish I had the 241's to put on it. Tunings not fun for me I don't have patience for that crap. I'd be surprised if this Z gets more than 2-3 reflashes before I put it back to stock, lol.

kind of off topic but have you guys ever done a back to back dyno test of the TSP rumbler vs the TSP duals on the same car. i've got an overlay of two diffferent cars with nearly identical mods but i was curious of a more conclusive test.

Completely stock with no catback. I was too lazy to put one on and it sounded pretty good through the cats like that.

jrp, no I've never compared them on the same car, Jason may have at some point but not sure. I'd think the catback rumbler would make more low end power.

Hmmm, I thought I had read that some 2000's came with 241 heads. I just though yours was one of them.

So 01-02's put out 5hp more on average? What would you expect from a tune with your setup?

I love being an engineer, I live for this kind of ****. I'm writting two programs in parallel to help with tuning and sorting out what I need and don't need from my logs. I'm writting the programs at the same time to see which one is faster in processing data , yep I'm a geek.

Yep, I've seen a few 241 on 00 cars stock. I've seen a few 01-02 about 245rwhp, not all of them just remembering some higher numbers. I don't keep track of 'before' numbers too much. I think if I had it tuned I might be able to match that though, depends on how far the stock tune is off from optimum I guess.

You should be able to see the numbers cast in the heads.
