Default LT4 385 Stroker

Motor:
It's been in the car only a month, but I got it from an acquaintance who had it built and put ~6K miles on it.
385 with AFR LT4 195 heads that have additional port work.
CC306 cam
AFR rev kit
LT4 Intake ported to match heads and ported for the ASM 58 mm TB.

Drivetrain: TCI SFI certified Flexplate, TCI SSF 3500 converter, Built 4L60E, Billingsley "extreme" driveshaft, Strange 12 bolt with 3.73's and 33 spline axles.

Best pull: 432 RWHP and 468 RWTQ

Best pull that I have a graph for: 426 RWHP and 461 RWTQ

The computer lost that best run for some reason and the one we did subsequent was 426/461. The motor was hot and my battery voltage was low.

NO dyno tricks were used whatsoever. Not even a bag of ice on the intake. It put down these numbers through a very power-sucking drivetrain, so I am very happy with them. I was even forced to dyno on stock, heavy OEM rims. I did not have the right lug nuts yet to mount my lighter convo pros on the long studs that came in the 12 bolt. Lighter wheels may have allowed it to registered a little more power.

That is VERY similar to the 383 LT1 we are doing for my brother's car. He is running a little larger cam and pretty much the same drivetrain as you. Do you know what the compression on your engine is? Also, what's your exhaust configuration?

Thanks man! I have seen a number of stroker LT motors put down significantly less. Mine's not a record breaker, but I'm pleased.

CR is 11.5:1

Exhaust is JETHOT longtubes to custom true duals (H pipe, Pro flow twisters, dumping at pumpkin.)

Tell your brother I hope he's as pleased with his as I am with mine.

Sweet, we have a LT-4 383 with a Stage 3 Futral motorsports H/C package sitting in my buddies living room right now. Nice numbers. Hopefully we can do the same or better since we have a larger camshaft.

Nice #'s did better than my 396 lt4 stroker but I never put it back on the dyno with out issues lol. Did run a 11's on some of my shake down runs and hope to get deeper tomorrow. Converters hate Dynos , ever notice? Is the motor built for spray or N/A?

Thanks for the props guys! I'm pleased with the numbers, especially as it seems I did everything I could to make them LOWER and they still came out good.

I did keep my NX nozzle kit on the car. My MSD window Switch is out... has a short or something. I do not want to spray without the switch working. Have too much invested to risk it.

I'm going to get a new window switch and am also looking at Nitro Dave's LT motor plate that he just came out with. It's a sweet piece.

I consider Dave not just a vendor but also a friend. He will get you set with whatever Nitrous setup you want to go with.

Nice numbers, again who did the heads, and did you guys keep the 2.02 intake valves in them. The only thing I see a problem with the LTX based motors is the intake. Seems like you have everything for the most part on tab, its those Crappy intakes we have that choke our heads and essentially our motors. Ever thought about a Single plain like your Buddy Tony has. Thats the direction I am doing and should be getting my AFR's and single plain back within a month or so. A single plain will only kill 4-5 percent of your flow and actually increase you midrange flow at .400-.500. A ported LTx intake is taking about 12-15+ percent of the flow. Saying your heads flow in the 280 range the piston is only seeing 255 or so with the LTX intake bolted to it. A super Vic with a 300CFM head will see about 288-290CFM to the piston, big difference
I am a fan of the CC306 (my good friend works at comp) but a custom grind would yield better numbers, think more aggressive ramps, and lift IMO.

You have an Great setup and we should see more nicely done setups like the one you have. Let her rip on some Ls1's, (lol thats going to start something )

The original owner had the heads done. I have the flow sheets, but can't remember the name of shop/porter off the top of my head. I would remember if I had the motor built, versus buying it complete. I have a whole folder of his receipts, etc. but only looked at it when we were negotiating and haven't read through it since. Too busy/lazy.

The LT4 intake seems to flow decent. It was port matched and bored out for the 58 mm TB. Granted, if I started from a clean sheet of paper, I would have done a couple things differently, but it was a really good pre-built motor at a good price, so I went that route.
