Default Drivetrain Loss

I think it would be nice if there was a log of drivetrain losses. What loss has everyone experienced through your drivetrain? (th350, th400, 4l60e/700r4, t56, etc.) If you have an auto please list the stall size too. Also if you are using 12bolt/9 inch/or 10bolt.

That would be a ton of work.... The only way to accurately compare would be to have the engine out and on an engine dyno then compare the results with a chassis dyno after the install.... Tony (AFR) has done a few of these type tests...

Here is what I did. I took my 408 out of my c5 a4 coupe and put it in my c5 m6 vert. The only change was the a4 (flpIV and ss 3800) had 3.42's and the m6 has 4.10's.

a4 491 rwhp
m6 499 rwhp

I figure the 4.10's cost another 10 rwhp.

Nice comparison! Was the A4 dyno with the converter locked or unlocked?
