If you have not done a full tune up yet you should do one, especially if you dont know what the last owner did to the car. If you have the $$ get plugs, wires, fuel filter, bottle of injector cleaner, dump a bottle of seafoam in the manifold to clean it up, and clean the MAF. Like alrady said, your pushrods could be bent or have some other valvetrain issues. Do a compression check also. Low compression can give you a loss of power. I would give it a tune up, re-dyno, and then take it from there.

Well guys, I had the car looked at this week. They found a vacuum leak, he showed me the hose they pulled off and it was all but split. They also performed some type of relearning procedure on the crankshaft and said it looked like someone had messed with the pcm before. Just driving it home the car did feel a bit stronger but I got some other things that need fixing.

I also need to go ahead and change out the plugs and wires, This guy recommended bosch platinum plus 4's, any comments or suggestions regarding these plugs or other ones? I hear a lot of people on here go with NGK's.

He also wants to hook my car up to some machine he has that cleans out all the carbon build up.

Thanks.

I wouldn't waste the money on the +4s. IMO the NGKs are a great plug for less cash. Make sure the gaps are set correctly and check the o2 sensors as well. Good luck!

If I read that right in one of your posts, it might be a good thing to put your stock MAF back on. A lot of guys have a lot of problems when they go with an aftermarket MAF on a nearly stock engine. The stock one is capable of handling up to 550rwhp. I'm positive that's where some of your numbers are being left at.

Any mechanic that tells you to run Bosch platinum +4's you need to stay away from. I can't even count the number of times I've had customers come in complaining of their car running like crap just to find out they had those junk plugs in. Stick with the NGK 55 like previously suggested.

word...those bosch plugs are the worst ever. They usually make cars run worse than what they did with their old plugs.
