hp loss going from 10 bolt to 12 bolt

If I went from a 3.42 10 bolt to a 3.73 Moser 12 bolt what kinds of hp loss would I see and would the gear difference make up for the loss in the 1/4?

I think you will see the same kinda times if not better sense you can now hook slicks off a higher rpm launch with out breaking your rear and those 3.73 will help out some also

The 12 bolt with those gears will MORE than make up for any dyno number loss.

I lost 11 hp going to a strange with 373's. But the ability launch more than makes up for it.

I had a M6 with 10bolt and 3.42 and went to a 12 bolt with 3.73 i lost 3%. It was well worth the 3% tho!

With an A-4 you will not see much gain on the gear swap because your 10 bolt would launch you pretty hard.

I went from a 10 bolt 4.10 to 12 bolt moser 3.73 Actually I got better times I was able to launch better on the spray (til the tranny said kiss my a**) I want to go to 3.90 to try now.
