His .050" numbers aren't going to help you anyway. I don't know what it matters. Until you cleared it up, I was understanding "GFY" as "Go f**k yourself". I don't understand why someone has to bash when X or Y numbers aren't released. People pay good money for some of these things, so it's their decision if they want to talk about their designs. It's the dyno section and he shared his dyno numbers. Good enough from me.

If they don't want to say the cam specs that's their business. Although I'm not quite sure why you would start a post and then not answer peoples inquiries after the fact. Why bother in the first place right?

Wow this thread has gone in the wrong direction. Let me try to clear some things up. When I was asked first about what the cam specs are, I did not have them. Chris Straub designed the specs from the dynamics of my engine. The engine was built at SDPC. (I live in another state) Chris gave me numbers that are not the traditional 050 numbers everyone here is used to seeing. If you notice I cannot answer how the motor ran, because I wasnt there. The engine arrived at my house on friday. The main reason for the post is that I was excited about the new motor. I blew my engine up July 8th (see thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/348188-tonights-carnage.html ). It has been awhile since I have been able to hear or drive an LSx. This thread was not meant to be a detailed post. In part it was a thank you to all those that helped work on the project. All the individuals and companies involved here are local Ls1tech experts. We always hear that combination makes a big difference. So i went with that and spent considerable money having each part of the motor married to every other part. This project was fun from the begining in that it all started with something I felt was unique. (the LS2)

Here is the engine setup:

85 maf
NW 90 Tb
Fast 90 Intake (port matched and ported by Tony@AFR)
AFR 225 heads
LS2 402 aluminum shortblock
Morell lifters and 3/8 pushrods
Kooks 1 7/8 race headers

It will likely be another month or so before I even have a transmission to attach to it. We are working on selecting the stall, gearing, etc based on the dyno numbers. I was excited to see the pictures and the dyno sheet, and wanted to share to get comments on how it would perform.

Those on here that know me personally are aware of the fact that I am not a ***** about my car. I enjoy this hobby and most of the people involved in it. I am not sure why we cant just appreciate all the hard work that some put into their setups. I will not respond to further personal comments about me or my decisions. If you would like to talk about other aspects of the setup I will answer.

Hope that helps

Ok, sorry if I mislead anyone buy saying GFY. Good for you, I didnt think would upset anyone. As I explained I was looking for details because they are nice numbers and I'm building as well. Thats all simple as that. Its a little frustrating when someone tells you its a secret, I never do that, so I reacted to it. Your right he does not have to share any info at all, just post the numbers if thats all he wants to do. I get quit a few pms's asking about my combination as they are stout numbers for a stock botton end running a tr224. I answer them all in pm's or a post, where ever the question was asked and I never say go spend your own money if you want to learn something . I've got well over 14k in mods into my car at this point and know very well about spending money. Thats just were I'm coming from thats all. Dont worry. I'll drop from the post and pretend I never even heard about it.
