SAE or Standard

Ok, I see a lot of posted combos in sigs with numbers and some of them state they are SAE, so should I assume they are Standard numbers if they don't say SAE? I would hope people wouldn't bother with Standard numbers since they are misleading but who knows?

sae or std are just different correction factors, your car still made the power either way, usually std is a few hp higher.

Wouldn't it be nice if all dyno sheets would state which of two atmospheric SAE standard correction factors is used or "no atmospheric correction used" or "our correction factor is X". As I've noticed previously stated, what is meant by SAE or standard. Is standard no SAE and wouldn't no correction factor cause lower readings in most of the country?
