Solid AFR 205 Results (A4)....
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1360037
Ran across this well written thread on the CF.....thought these #'s were worth sharing.
Very solid increases in both HP and TQ, in light of baby cam AND an unlocked convertor. Good job DTE and congrats to the proud owner!
'the humbler' at Mike's shop with prob reflect lower numbers than most dyno's, as usual. If the numbers are good, I'll post them up here.

I'm only re-iterating what the owner clearly stated (which is hopefully accurate). What I really liked about these results were the progression from almost stock, to bolt-on's and cam, to AFR's with FAST 90. The owner stated he ran ALL the testing with an unlocked converter.....keep in mind that this is probably a stock converter, which wouldn't rob as much power (on an inertia style chassis dyno) as the same combo with an aftermarket 3500 stall unit. None the less, big numbers thru an A4 and a baby cam.
I had helped someone duplicate my previous 346 combo with an A4 and a performance aftermarket converter....that build hit 440/405 on a very conservative dyno with the larger 224/228 cam and one of my ported FAST units....a stock converter on that application would have been worth a little more. I think those numbers might have been locked though....damn that was almost a year ago, maybe more....LOL
The competition is certainly heating up, but IMO, the AFR 205's are still the head of choice on a stock displacement or small stroker build....and the 225 results are also just as impressive on the 402/408 and larger platforms.
Thanks Guys,
Tony M.

I just found this thread. The original post referenced from corvetteforum.com is mine.
Yes, the TC was unlocked. Phil from DTE told me this originally and re-confirmed a few minutes ago via email.
The car is truly a beast now. I can break the tires free at least up to 100 mph (not enough guts to try anything faster) on Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar (Z06) tires with lots of tread. This isn't downshifting but rather moderate accelleration just below the shift points. The only bad part is that this happens mostly when I'm not trying.
The other day I was trying a different launch technique (practicing for my next trip to the 1/4 mile track) since my tires spin too much. I squeezed down on the gas over ~2 seconds. The car pulled out quickly and I thought "great, no tire spin." I looked in my rear view mirror and saw long posi marks. Not the darkest, but my goal was not to spin the tires at all. I went back and measured and they were 43' long.
The car has gone from being quick to being a torque monster. I'm very pleased with the results.

I would bet that the biggest difference is your Kooks vs. my QTPs. The Tri-Y configuration might help add some low-end torque but overall these headers seem to produce less overall HP than other's I've seen (especially Kooks and LG). Live and learn I guess...
