Looking for a good tune in Houston Texas. I have installed almost all of the parts I need to for a while. I finally got the ported TB and I am going to start saving up for the supercharger so it is going to be a while before I put some more stuff on my car because the super charger costs a chunk of change. Probably close to a year before I mod some more. So I am looking for a tune.
I know they say it is best to go to a shop and get a dyno tune but I am looking for the best bang for the buck. Some guy said to look for someone that has the software and forget the dyno at a shop becuase they can download the tune and install it for cheaper. I dont know to much about tunes so I am asking for everyones opinion on this.

You could buy HP Tuners and download the tunes from their website.. just make sure the car has the same bolt-ons as you, and that will be the best bang for your buck.
Has anyone ever used this SW before. VCM Suite how hard is it to figure out how to use it and how do you download the tunes?

Getting HP tuners would be a great idea if you are somewhat computer oriented or have a friend that can provide you some guidance. DO NOT just copy tunes and assume they are good because you have similiar mods. That would be a mistake. Every engine combination is different.
I would have to say get a custom tune and have that piece of mind if you don't feel that you have the time or desire to learn to tune it yourself. Good luck!

I don't know if LS1Joe tunes cars that much for people anymore, he may just rebuild transmissions now, but I would pm him. He is making over 460 cam only in his car, he knows what the hell he is doing. My buddy flew him to NC to have his car tuned by him, he is that good.
Thanks againi will probably try and get the tune done next weekend. I am still debating on who wil do it. I need to hurry up and make my mind so I can make an appointment.
