tranny downshifting on dyno
tranny downshifting on dyno i did a search and didn't find anything.i dyno'd today and my tranny kept downshifting into 2nd. gear at about 5000rpms.it wouldn't stay in third.car has a MW3000 stall TQ.it seemed like the guy doinng the run was rollling into the throttle,but i wasn't watching the computer when he did the runs.or is this a common problem with some higher stall TQs?it runs fine on the street,doesn't slip when shifting.or maybe the shift settings aren't right?

normal thats why most of the smarter dyno shops will use software to lock the car in a specific gear & then lock the converter.
and the funny thing was i topped out at 354rwhp before it downshifted,which most of the mustang guys thought was pretty strong.i thought it was a little low,lol.even some of the mustangs on spray were only 25-35rwhp more than me.
