Default Finally got it tuned...Dyno and ET#'s inside

Got my car tuned right last week. Its not going to break any records but I am pretty happy. H/C 347 through a 3800 vig and 3.73 12bolt. If I had a 90/90 and some Kooks I think I could pick up a little more. That also with my home made over the axle true duals.

My goal for the car was to be able to run a 7.3x in a full weight car with AC. I was having transmission problems so I had to manually shift the stock shifter and still managed a 7.54 @ 91.8 with 1.67 60 on MT D/Rs Does not look like its going to take much to hit my goal.

101 lookers and not one comment. Guess you have to make either no power or break the dyno cause you made so much for anyone to comment.

Other than tuning and the transmission build I did everything on the car myself on a shoesring budget. Almost every part on the car is used parts I have collected off the FS sections on the boards. Learned a lot of technicle info hear over the last year or so. Just though some of you out there would like to see what can be done without dropping a car off at a shop with a blank check book in the glove compartment.

Got any details on the heads / cam specs. I'm working on my own budget project right now, just need to sell my second car for funding.

did youy gain any thing from the last time you dyno'ed.. I think I met you at one of speedteks dyno day and you had dyno'ed 400 then aswell.

Heads were stock castings I picked up (243's I think) that had been ported and the cam was a used M2 cam 228/234 .607/598 on 110
The motor is basicly a .010 over stock rebuild with arp rod bolts.

Cool..what car did you have up there?

Yea that was the first time it dynoed a couple months ago. The mailorder tune was so lean I was scarred to even get on it. The HP is about the same (400.1 before) but the torque came way up and the drivability to so much better now. Also no more trying to keep it running for 5 min on a cold start.

sweet numbers and times solid 11 second car with a/c and full weight. im sure there not much thats going to pull up to on the way to work that could beat you from a STOP

put a nitrous kit on it and break into the 10's 6.90's in the 1/8 is a ten second pass
