Default Question on rotating mass

I went with a new clutch setup and shaved about 15LBS off the clutch/flywheel. Is there a formula to calculate losses due to rotating mass such as the flywheel? Has anyone re-dyno'd after a swap to a lighter flywheel?

Good question, has a lot to do with the inertia instead of the actual mass, but I am about to swap out flywheels to save some weight myself. If you dyno post up, and I will do the same once I order parts and get them on.

I posted a back-to-back comparison swapping light 17" Z06 wheels (yes, fronts on the back, didn't have rears with tires to use) to heavy 18" chrome Z07 wheels. I lost 12 rwhp on the dyno and that obviously doesn't take into account rolling resistance on the front wheels, braking performance, etc.

I'm not sure either, but I saved ~20 lbs off of my previous clutch setup (going from a Ram Powergrip w/ billet steel flywheel to an RPS Stage III), and it made a HUGE difference in my butt dyno. Don't have the real numbers to back it up, but I went from getting pulled by Geo Metros to being able to pull Ferrari Enzos
