Dyno Numbers
Dyno Numbers I have just installed a Vigilante 3200 Converter and I have an appointment with Ed Wright, FASTCHIP, in December to have the car dyno tuned. What kind of numbers can I expect to see? I am not looking for fantasy numbers, just a rough estimate as to what I should expect. Any ideas? The car is the 35th Ann SS with 345hp from the factory, my mods are a small cam, LT's, catted Y, 3" exhaust (sounds awesome) and I am getting excited about seeing what it will do. Thanks!

I'll guess 370/360...just a guess though. To sum it up your power mods are:
baby cam, LT's, catback, LS6 intake, dyno tune to come
You really need a lid if you don't have one already and I would pick up a ported throttle body too (the combination of those two mods are an easy 15 rhwp and pretty cheap too, you can get a TB off ebay for like $120 and a lid for around $100). You've got a good exhaust setup so I would get those to help out on the intake side. Also a cutout on the exhaust could help as well.

a ported tb is a ported tb as far as size goes. They're all the same size give or take a millimeter or so. The only way to really gain much is to go w/ an LSX 90 mm intake and then slap on a 90mm TB. It's not worth the money IMO unless you've got a good sized cam and heads and looking for an extra 20 RWHP for $1200.

porting is just a term used to describe sanding/grinding down the inside of the throttlebody to end up with a larger opening with a much smoother airflow. It usually shows anywhere from 5-10RWHP and there are multiple options out there. It usually costs around $125-$150 to get done and that's if you send your out to get done. If you go on ebay you can buy a ported one outright (you keep your stock one) for around the same price. Here's a pic of one on ebay to give you an idea of how they look compared to stock:
