Default Dyno in 3 hours.

I will post the results and video when I get back. Guess my numbers?

Since my last dyno (see sig) I have added LS6 intake.

Oh and don't forget the NGK tr55 plugs and LS2 plugs wires and I seafoamed the car about a week ago.

Looking for a solid 360rwhp w/ bolt-ons

Good luck. If you were at 351 rwhp and 352 rwtq before the ls6 intake, then 360 rwhp should be no problem at all in my opinion. Should pick up 12-15 rwhp over the ls1 intake.

Ok I'm back. Here goes. I didn't gain as much as I hoped but they are good numbers and a solid run.

Run 1 = 345.29hp and 343.25 tq but he only took it up to 5.5krpms and I was like dude run that bitch to 6k.

Run 2 = 351.17hp and 349.69tq. Making progress.

Run 3 = 352.40hp and 353.39tq (now 89chevycaprice can stop talking ****!)

So I gained about 1hp and 1tq from the LS6 intake. Reality though the numbers are right where it should and just wait till you see the graph my A/F was flat as a table.

Before

After

I'm gonna have to scan my copy of the dyno sheet. I don't think he got the a/f table in this one.

All in all the car runs much better then it did during the first dyno.

I'll have the video up in a min.

Thats what I think. It was a totally different dyno too. It was also very sunny that day and today it was rather cool (for hawaii I'd say in the low 80s) and very humid.

From what I'm seeing the car put down right about what everyone else is putting down with the mods I have.

Yep...mine put down 340/356, so you are doing better than me. While you may not have touched the internals, a bolt-ons car can be pretty quick in its own right...

1 hp 1 tq ?? Obviously the other dyno was generous, or this one was stingy. Can't truly compare results using different dyno's though. As long as it feels better to you drives better.

Your A/F was above 13 to 1 on your graphs (a little lean) and it will be leaner on the street. You might want your tuner to adjust the a/f ratio and see what 12.8 to 1 on the dyno will do. 12.8 to 1 while strapped on the dyno should lean a bit on the street to 13.0 or so to 1 and give you an optimum a/f ratio while driving.

Hell you should be happy my heads and cam car only put down 405/373 on motor and put down 552/639 on a 150 shot leaning out. Can you say a torque monster with more fuel! In case you didn't notice I gained 266 Ft lbs of torque to the tires with a 150 hit!

Note that the first dyno did not use smoothing (0), bad dyno operator, and the second dyno useed maximum smoothing (5), good dyno operator, which means that the first dyno's #s were very optimistic. Both used SAE corrections which should eliminate the variable as to what kind of day it was.

I had just swapped it on for the first dyno run back in jul or whatever.

Could have thrown off some readings or something.

I do know that the car def felt faster from 3krpms+ after the ls6 intake was put on.

yeah I'm sure it is! But all dyno's are different! Few things that come into play, humidity, temperature, correction factor. Did you ask what your uncorrected #'s were?

No. I didn't think of it. I will use this dyno from here on out for whatever I do.

Too bad Chris (GTO) didn't get any improvement. Even with the LTs and stuff he didn't gain anything at all. He put down what stock GTOs put down.

I haven't changed my heads. They are stock.

Mid 00 GM switched to the 241 heads. With the more agressive cam that the 98-00 have, then the LS6 intake, and the good 241 heads = stock beast.
