What can be expected to the rear wheels from an 00 Z with an SLP 400hp Performance Pac? car is an m6 and is otherwise stock. the package consists of headers, ls6 intake, 1.85 rockers, power programmer 160 t-stat, slp cold air induction, i think that about sums it up...

Um....no.
Typically with those mods most see around 335 at the rear wheels. the 400 HP is supposed to be at the crank with those kits. You won't see 400 HP at the rear tires unless you change the cam at least and usualy heads and cam.

i tried to tell him that, i also tried to tell him that the biggest cam-only cars are only just above 400rwhp usually with full bolt-ons, then he insisted an ls1 only has 305hp to the flywheel so the argument ended, i didnt really feel like proving him wrong since he just experienced a tragedy in relation to another ls1 car his family owns. but he may be lurking on this board somewhere...

I wouldnt even get the SLP pac. Just get everything seperate and from a different company. The SLP lid is nice. You can find better headers elsewhere. Search around and you will find better parts for your hard earned money

i tried to explain all these issues, i just came on here to get a second opinion and make sure i was right because i dont want to tell the guy the wrong ****, but he's not going to listen either way so i guess it doesnt matter, and remember, this is no heads and cam car, mainly rockers, intake, headers...
