Default Lsa ?

Does the size of the LSA change power output? Does a lower value ie. 112 lsa put out more hp than a 116 lsa?

LSA generally has more to due with the hp/torque curve. the tighter you go the more "peakier" the curve is. and the tighter LSA lean more twords high RPM high horsepower. my last cam in my old car had an LSA of 106. wider LSA cam will have a smoother curve, less lope and works great with poweradders since their is less overlap. less overlap will get all that boost or juice in the cylinder while having a cleaner (no exhaust in the intake stroke) charge.

So a Comp Cam 228 228 588 588 116 would be ok? or should I go with a lower lsa?

i would use a 112 for that camshaft. It should have around 5 degrees of overlap.Make sure you have good exhuast behind it though.

Won't the 112 have a lot of lope? I really don't want the car to feel ruff. How would the driveablitiy be at 112?

Oh yeah, I have a set of SLP LT's with emmissions(not mounted), I need to get a catted y, and currently have a loudmouth2 mounted. Is this ok?
