Default went to dyno today...380hp 565torque..wtf is wrong?!!!

i took my car to the dyno today. and it did 380 hp 565 torque what the hell could be wrong? before the car had blown a head gasket and over heated..switched gaskets and tuned it...i also switched my intake manifold to a victory fuel injection with a 90mm throttle body and a 229/229 cam and a y pipe with a bullet dump...i switched over fuel pumps to a racetronix and #42lbs injectors.. could it be my heads not flowing right..they are ported but not to spec? could too much porting lose hp?? spark plugs?wires?fuel filter?y pipe set-up?

I take it you dynoed with that Th400 and 4000 stall?
Can you post a graph of your nitrous runs as well as your NA runs?

What size shot was this on?
What did you make on motor?

LOL...ok...I assumed you were spraying it with that massive Tq number.

Id say if your tune looks good...take it to the track and see what it does.

Looks like you have a loose converter.Get the tune and hit the track to see how it runs. We've had 380rwhp unlocked converter cars run 10's easilly enough.

Torque was a spike, or on converter flash, depending on what RPM they floored it at.
HP #s are from that TH400 and 4000 stall
Graph?

Good to see another crazy canuck.

As has been said, the massive tq could come from your TC giving a massive spike at the shift point. And, it may be too early to say if those numbers suck. Really need to see a graph. Your TC and tranny could easily be hiding about 25 rwhp if the TC was not locked, and I assume the TH400 drains more than a 4L60E. And Mustang dynos are good, just read differently, meaning you may be down by another 20-30 rwhp compared to a dynojet.

Yes, poor porting in heads can kill performance. Bigger isn't always better. Its more how it flows that counts too (i.e. AFR 205s are among the best).

But we need a graph to see if there is an issue of fuel, etc... at higher rpms.

I Went To The Shop Were My Car Is At And I Forgot The Damn Graph Again...but I Seen More Of Where The Power And Rpms Where At...it Was Only Making Its Power From 4,000 To 5,800 Rpms The Rest Was Not Pulling After That...only Going About 71mph....the Rwt I Didnt Pay Much Attention To

but went to start up the car today because it was losing oil pressure yesterday after the last run, and we heard a knocking noise cumming from the top of the block, maybe somewhere in the heads..wtf..everything is going wrong...

Its a spike from that converter if it wasnt locked, and since you have a TH400 its probaly not a lock up converter.

There's your answer.

that sounds right...

a mustang dyno- always read lower than dyno jet
th400- big *** tranny- robs power
big loose converter- big torque robs power

id say the dyno is right... with a 383 you're only getting a longer stroke which usually produces alot more torque which you have... usually to make high HP you need a larger bore which can accomodate a lager radius head which flows more air.

with 380rwhp on a dyno jet and that much torque the thing prolly hauls ***...

too many people look at 500rwhp on a mustang dyno as slow... but on the track it hauls ***....

if you want a dyno queen get a M6 tranny on a dyno jet and some fiske wheels and then add about 20lbs of air to your rear tires and right before the pull take your belts off....

How many times did you dyno the car, we dynoed my friends stock 2nd gen gti, and the dyno said 114rwhp and 610rwtq, the dyno was screwed up that day, try to dyno it somewhere else.
