Default Full bolt on A4

<a href="http://putstuff.putfile.com/39344/7881855">Download hitech.doc</a> I dynoed my full bolt on A4 Trans am and it mand 328hp, and 340tq at the wheels, but my a/f ratio was so off it wasn't evening funny. It was 10/1, and it probably was lower than that because 10 was the lowest the computer would go. then i tried to spray, and it crapped out on nitrous because there was way too much fuel. I just don't know why i am running so rich. I have a handheld diablo sport tuner for gears that i am running, i just wish i knew why the car was so rich.

Got the dyno sheet on there now, look at the bottom that is the a/f ratio

are you using the diablos tune?Idont know much about the diablo but the hypertech in my opinion has a too agressive fuel and timing curve.do you have a ory or catted y?most say not to do it but you can try removing the maf screen just dont damage it so you can reinstall it if it doesnt lean it out any.porting the tb will lean it out some too.and last of all are tere any ses codes

Yea i am runing diablos tune, i have a custom true dual setup wtihout cats, and o2 sims, for ses codes its throwing egr and the air system, because i have an ls6 intake on it. The headers are fine, they hang low, but i am factory springs. I have tr6s for plugs because i run nitrous, and i maybe the plugs didn't like the cold weather, the guy that was running the car said i fouled out my plugs, and i need new ones.

the egr is whats doin it you need to have those codes deleted.the ecu thinks the engine is lean(no egr)and its dumpin too much fuel in there.handheld tuners work great on stock cars.after a few mods they are useless.they are tested on stock engines.try the stock tune first but my guess is the egr codes.

I just thought that egr was for recirculating the exhaust gas on cold startups, i don't know why it would have any effect on how much fuel the car is puting into to cylinders starting at 20% throttle all the way up to redline. It could be the tuner that has crossed my mind a few times

get it tuned, my 98 auto with lid, headers and cat back made 331/345 on a vette doctors tune.

Wait, what? The EGR code reporting deletes just supress the error code that sets the SES light... Fueling is handled my MAF and MAP in PE.

Yea i didn't think that egr had anything to with why the car would be running so rich. I just don't understand why its doing this. I gonna get my stall in and some new valve springs and get tuned asap i hope. I really don't want to drive it around on a 10/1 afr

If you ahve not sent the Predator in for its firmware update do that then try to fix the tune. The new firmware gives you alot more control over the fueling and timing now.

I put down 331.9hp 355tq with a 3500 stall with a 98 TA. All bolt ons.

i did 335/340 with full bolt ons (except UD pully and EWP)

I don't have an electric water pump, i am happy with what i did on the dyno but seems like there is more potential because the a/f could be leaned out some more. If i send in the diablo don't they charge you for the reflash? I think it would be a waste of time, it would be better for me to put my stall, and some other stuff, and have it dyno tuned, and get rid of the diablo all together

Nope no charge for the update...

Check out their web page, it tells you everything the unit does now. You already paid for it so this wont cost you anything, if it cant do it then buy someones tuning software.

You should try a few items:

1). Go back to the stock tune. Re-dyno

2). Make sure the wideband meter on the dyno is accurate, by having them dyno another car with a known good reading. I have seen a wideband pump that needed a rebuild give out bad numbers.

3). some cars just don't respond well to mods. You might just need a real tune.
