Default tires needed

Im really hoping to hit 630 or more rwhp on the dyno this saturday....

I know spinning will be an issue with the 17" street tires....
question is, will throwing the 15x10.5 et drags on for the dyno be better or worse?

I'd say the ET drag RADIAL, would be best. Because of them being sticky, & radial.

ET DR's are NOT good dyno tires. They heat up and come apart in small chunks while spinning. I posted a thread about this a while back, because I didn't understand why the ET's spun worse than Nittos on the dyno.

what about et streets? I have a set of ZR rated 17" tires, what would be better for dyno tuning? wont the normal 17" tires just spin? or would my et streets on drag lites be better suited to holding traction on the dyno? and what psi should be used?

ET drag slicks won't chunk as bad as the radials, but I have seen them slip on a car where normal high perf. street tires didn't on the dyno. I am still at a total loss as to why some of the best track tires don't fare well on steel rollers. We recently had a mustang on the dyno tuning his spray, and couldn't get a clean dyno graph until we put a 300# guy in the back seat to get the slicks to hook on the rollers. On these same tires he could lift the front end on poorly prepped asphalt. This was at only a little over 500rwhp.

So maybe just get some heavy folks to sit in the back and in the trunk and leave it be with the street tires, or put em all in and try the slicks
