well, i've had the camaro for 1 month now and finally got with my buddy, left work a little early and headed to the dyno.

the car is a bone stock, including crappy paper air filter, 2001 camaro z28 M6 with 51k miles.

in case you can't read the numbers on the bottom of the graph, 304 hp and 331 ft/lbs.

i made 3 pulls and all numbers were consisent!

what do you guys think??

spend the money on suspension and better tires and wait on motor mods??

looks about right for stock car.dynoed mine tonight to 2000 model ss right now got QTP lt and LID only on ls1 it did 331 HP and 350 TQ.looks like you are ready to start bolting stuff on.

thats why i'm happy. i was figuring about 280 hp and 300 ft/lbs.

Nice! I have an 02 Z and did 315whp/330wtq at a dyno day. The first 2 pulls were 304 and like 306, taking a break between pulls. We told them to hotlap it after the 2nd pull and it jumped up to 315 on the 3rd pull lol. :jest:

Wow those are impressive numbers for a stock car. It's actually on the high side. I dunno if you should really opt for suspension parts. It all depends on what you want to do. I tried to make my car an all around performer, but I gotta admit that it still doesn't handle all that well.

Good numbers and very strong torque down low. FWIW there's nothing wrong with a paper filter...that's what I use and plenty of other people on here too. I don't see the point in spending $50 for a K&N to gain a HP.

I also don't see why anybody would want to spend the time in cleaning their air filters when it's so much easier just to replace them. Yeah, it might cost more money in the long run to keep on buying paper air filters, but at least there's no chance that you'll get excess cleaning oil onto your MAF.

I use a paper filter still. While it's great to have a filter that can be cleaned and reused, but I don't want the hassle of oil making it's way onto my MAF and causing problems.

its not really to tuff to spray some maf cleaner on the maf connections.

wow u guys made this into a paper filter vs. k&n filter thread, good numbers bro, i made 333whp and 350wtq w/ LT,ORY, Lid, through a 12bolt and 3.73's

:jest: That's my fault...I didn't mean to stir the pot. I don't even have a MAF anymore so the oil theory isn't why I use paper.
