Default LS2 Manifold

hey i was just wondering... wouldnt a LS2 manifold and TB bolt right up to my 408?? im looking for a cheaper upgrade than a FAST and that way ill also have the 90MM throttle body.

is it possible? they used the LS6 heads on the LS2's right? so id think it would work?

stock for stock the ls2 has worse flow numbers than a ls6 according to everything i have read. alot of people were let down because they thought it would be a cheaper 90mm intake and tb. there has been threads of people doing port work and making them flow alot better but they have to do things like cut them open and epoxy it back together. do a search or 2 an you will see what i have read

Hey Lost.. send your LS6 to TPiS and have them put on their OVAL snout and TB.. people have gained some serious #'s with those.. like 15-20hp just from that... i plan on doing this too when funds are available

whats the cost of that? wouldn't be rivaling the cost of upgrading to the fast intake?

if you search you will find a thread about a 1 rwhp and 2 rwtq loss ported LS2 VS ported fast 90/90 there are also a few porter's that port them around 225$ charris is one i would love one on my 408

good god dude that is EXPENSIVE to have them oval'd out... throttle body is 500 dollars and the port work is 350 dollars...



thats 850 dollars... .i might as well buy a damn FAST 90/90

my LS2 and FAST 90mm on my old 408ci put down 530/501 on a RICH tune. baby 246/250 cam in there.

the fast is a proven performer so even though it is more expensive you know for sure you'll gain power.there is alot of conflicting comparisons comparing the ls2 v/s fast,some say they lost to an ls6 and some say they gained. bite the bullet and get the fast 90/90. just my .02

nope. motor had 40 miles or so when it was dynoed. it was running around a 12.1 a/f on top end too.
