Default Low Numbers

Ok so I've had my mods (un tuned) for about 5-6 months or so, and shes been sittin in the garage waiting for spring.. Well it's about that time. So I took her out for a tune and dyno (dynojet), and was pretty disappointed with the numbers, I made 335 rwhp So my question is does this sound about right?? I was thinking a bit higher, the guy told me that's the lowest he'd ever dynoed a car with those mods. then he says if i were to add a lid and catback I would make around 380 to 390. Any suggestions on a catback decently priced?

if it still has the stock exhaust and lid on it that might deffinatly be a problem because it is choking the motor down and not allowing it to breathe. u might want to put it back on the dyno after you add those parts to the car and just make sure the a/f is right still cause allowing it to breathe more can make the car go lean.

good luck

ls6 intake will help too. i put down 382 on a mustang dyno with a similar cam. that is really low. a lid and exhaust should help alot, that cam wants air flow, and it doesnt seem like your giving it any.

stock lid chokes the **** out the motor. definitly get a new one TODAY only 90 dollars. then replace the cat back and get a retune.

Yeah my bad on the lid , guess just my lack of knowledge led me to believe it wasn't that important before the tune, definitely getting one next payday. But unfortunately need to wait a couple months before I'm allowed to get the catback . Then back to the dyno! Any ideas on the catback? Does SLP make a good lid?

all lids are the same, just buy the cheapest one you can find. and as for cat backs, slp loud mouth flows well but its...well...its really loud and sounds bad at times. borla or magnaflow are good choices, as well as true duals(which woud be best) TSP sells them. www.texas-speed.com

I would vote for the Hooker cat-back...it sounds awesome with a cam and headers.

+1 for the hooker.I got one behind a Supermaxx System and it goes from quiet to awsome when the heads hit the power band. Before I installed it my car sounded like a damn pickup truck. Someone who owned before me cut off the stock muffler and had a Flowmaster muffler.
