Default Dyno unloading?

hey guys i did a "1/4 mile simulation run" on our schools mustang dyno just for the fun of it, and got some suprising results. Last year i did it with my bald bfg's and i spun through 3rd and ran a 15.0 @ 107mph. My car made 318rwhp/330 ft lbs on a dynojet, and 284/294 on the mustang dyno. Anyway...when i did the 1/4 this time with my new tires i ran the following times with a 3500lb load on the dyno.

60' - 2.093 @ 34.46 mph
330'- 5.597@ 69.865
1/8th- 8.257@93.772
1000' - 10.501@ 99.112
1/4- 12.457@ 108.494

now i know that dyno 1/4's are not very accurate at all...but does it seem like the dyno started to unload up top? I just couldnt believe those times when i saw them, because usually the dyno 1/4's are about 1-2 seconds slower than actual track times with similar et's.

maybe i just have a factory track freak

If you are finding that your Mustang Dyno's 1/4 Sim test is inaccurate, than there's probably something wrong with the dyno. We have seen a consistency of a tenth, to two tenths difference with our Mustang Dyno and a 1/4 mile, as long as the cars 60' times have been close. Since it's harder for a car to get a good 60' on the dyno as opposed to the track, cars are usualy faster at the track than the dyno. We have found that trap speeds are a better indicator of performance than the ET when it comes to the 1/4 sim for that reason. If there's any question to the dyno "unloading" then all you have to do is look at the trace graph viewer, and show the channel for "PAU Force". That'll give you the amount of force the dyno is applying.

the dyno doesnt feel like its unloading at all, if feels very accurate. The time i ran just seems like almost 6-8seconds to fast. Does a 108mph trap seem right for the hp/tq i stated above?

Your 1/8th trap doesn't add up for the 1/4 trap.

My bone stock 2002 A4 Z28 made 299rwhp on our Mustang MD-1100SE, and ran a 13.02@112mph at the track with a 1.88 60'. I can't for the life of me remember what it ran on the 1/4 mile sim on the dyno.
