Dyno Newbie - What to expect?
Dyno Newbie - What to expect? What should I expect when taking in my car for a few dyno runs? I'm a complete newbie. I understand the end result--torque and hp graphed against RPM. I guess I'm looking for answers to questions like: 1. Should the run be at WOT? 2. Should the run be in 1st gear only? 3. Will I have to run the vehicle myself? 4. Will someone else hook up everything before the runs are performed?
1. Yes the runs will be at wot.
2. If the car is a m6 then the runs will be in 4th gear, if an a4 then they will be in 3rd gear.

Basically, you just take your car to the shop and watch. They will do everything for you and depending on the shop, how much it costs, and how long it takes to tune your car will all depend on how many runs you'll get. I just got mine back yesterday and they tuned it and did 5 runs to make sure everything was right on. Numbers are in the sig below with mods. Good luck.
