Bad Dyno run Hey maybe i can get smoe more help here. So i got a free dyno run today and it was shitty i made 260 at 5300 and 280tq at 4000 the car is a stock 99 Z A4 with 93k on it and i bought it with 92k on it and i dont know how well it was taken care of before i bought it the only thing ive done is put a ls6 manfoild form a 01 Z but other then that it is comptly stock stock air lid filter everything.But about the run we only ran it in 2nd gear and right after 5300 the power droped off and my AFR went to 14.64 and i thought ls1 made most power between 5500 and 6000 for stock. What do you think wrongs with it. I planed on moding it next week but know im wondering if i should think about a motor rebulid any help at all would be great.
Definitely somethig wrong based on when it dies off - probably just some spark knock. I would check the fuel pressure too (could be a plugged filter). Still, you are not that far off if it is a Mustang Dyno - My car made 290/290 on the local mustang dyno with Mac's through a 3400 stall But still posted a 13.12 with traction control and street tires. It did pull to 6100 though.
