Default My LT1 Dyno Results

I took my LT1 to the dyno (dynamic dyno) and below are the results. I mainly took it to get the WOT a/f worked out. Turns out that the car likes being pretty rich above 4000rpm. I got the best results running at an 11.8 a/f. I think if I richened the mixture slightly more I might have even put up some better numbers. All my mods are listed below.

Great numbers, especially for a stalled auto car with mid length headers!

I had no idea. I went with the dynamic because Bushman recommended it. He said the only way to go is with a load bearing dyno. I was originally going to use a dynojet but he shut that idea down pretty quick lol.

Pretty soon. I had some timing table issues and my a/f wasn't on point so I was making times at the track. The car is a little more dialed in now so I'll let you know what she does when I go.

This is funny.
Those AS&M Mids are 1 3/4 headers. Longtubes might give him some more upper rpms power, but not as much as you would think.

well then I guess I am confusing that dyno with some other dyno then, sorry I am only familiar with dynojets and mustang dynos(load bearing)....if that is indeed a load simulating dyno then those are awesome numbers bud

Exactly why I bought them. RKSPORT and AS&M are the only 1 3/4 mids for the LT1. I live in NYC, tons of potholes so I needed the ground clearance since I'm lowered.

thanks. thats whats people have been telling me especially since its stalled. i'm going back soon to do some more tuning as soon as I get my innovative wideband installed. the place i went to uses a tailpipe a/f meter. so i got higher hp numbers at 11.8 afr then i did at a 12 afr. i think i can squeeze out that 400 when I get some more accurate a/f readings through the innovative bung unit. WOT tuning is one thing now I need to get my fuel trims for daily driving calibrated. that seems like the hard part which im trying to understand how to do real slowly.

looking good chris. maybe add a little more timing in the mix and you'll get your 400.

Both mustangs and dyno dynamics have operator entered correction factors. Which leave room for bad inconsistencies. From my experience dynoing probably hundreds of cars, those numbers are optimistic to say the least. Go to a dynojet. You'll probably get your feelings hurt.

How can you say that, not even knowing the cams specs?
