Default BHP of a bolt-on/tuned car?

I posted this over in the external engine forum but haven't gotten any responses so I thought maybe it was supposed to be over here... Anyway, I've found myself talking to a few people recently who aren't the biggest car people, so they don't know the difference between RWHP and BHP, and they've asked me what I have for HP now that I've done the stuff to my car that I have. I didn't really know what to say. I know they are looking for BHP number since that's what cars are advertised with. I would like to know what my car probably has realistically now after the stuff I've done. I myself have also been wondering how mine compares to the LS2 cars with 400hp. I have done all of the bolt-ons except the UD pulley and an electric water pump, and I just recently got a great tune by Green Light Motorsports, and it feels a lot better now than it did before. If you had to make an educated guess at what i can tell me I have for BHP now, what would you say I have? (also, I've never even been on a dyno, so I have no idea the RWHP numbers even... I should be in the 12.8 range next time to the track on a decent day though)

Thanks for the help

Lets say you put down 340rwhp (which is typical power for a bolton car)

Factor in drivetrain loss of 15-20%. Happy medium of lets say... 18% maybe a little high but it works.

Take 340rwhp x 1.18 = 401.2 BHP

Not perfect... but close.

Hope this helps

I'd say that's pretty close.

Thats exactly what I was looking for . I wasn't sure exactly what to say, but from some of my own guesswork and math (i did like 350 x 1.15 = 402.5) I had been saying "I think around 400", so it sounds like that is a good thing to say. I guess I'll keep telling people that. Thanks guys .

Well I went in for a bolt on tune yesterday and put down 346hp/346tq witht he mods in sig. My friend in his 06 GTO M6 did something like 363hp/359 tq with headers a full exhaust and air intake.

That should give you some idea as to what you are up against.
