Does this seem right???

I had my first Dynotune experience yesterday. I recentley converted from A4 to M6 and the car just felt sluggish. I have a basic bolton car with the following mods: Lid, Descreened MAF, LS6 intake, Pacesetter Lt's with ORY, loudmouth cat-back, and 3:73's My base run was 327/330 and the best run he got out of it after tuning was 338/343. I was really hoping for at least 345 rwhp.

Is this about right? What little things could squeeze out some more power? Tune up?

My 99 made 331/341. Only difference is LS6 intake, so you're right on as some dynos are different anyway.

I wouldn't have descreened the MAF. Most people have issues afterwards.

What kind of issues? I didn't on my last 99 nor this one. You might have issues if you run an oiled air filter and the oil gets on it.

yea i had asked my tuner about the MAF, he said it was ok.

Your gears are eating up a little power and I'm sure the descreened maf isn't helping matters. Your numbers are fine

Dont feel bad, I made 333/347 SAE with about the same mods. I even have a p&p tb and a cutout.

My car sucks.

absolutely nothjing is wrong with having a descreened mas. lots of people see things where people have posted pics of stuff being stopped by the screen only because they didnt have their box tight. or some people have lt1 cars and since they dont have straight intake tubes they have problems. the intake is so short on the ls1 that having the screen in to straighten air really doesnt make up for being as restrictive as it is. lots of people argue about this subject so im sure someone will tell u this is wron, but dyno ur car before and after tell me what numbers u like better for free.
