1st dyno numbers... need some help.
1st dyno numbers... need some help. Well I had my first dyno yesterday and I am a more than disaapointed with the results. The car is a 2000 SS with an A4. Mods are as follows:
-slp lid,bellows,super sucker
-mac mid-length headers with catted ory
-loudmouth catback
-ls6 intake and epp ported tb
-powertech 3 and 160 t stat
-tci 3500 stall
-3.73s
The car runs great and I am currently throwing no codes.
1st pull my net was 276 hp and 268tq
2nd pull was 277 hp and 269 tq.
For the last pull I removed the pp3 "performance tune" and actually had the best results.
3rd pull was 286 hp and 293 tq.
The air fuel was very high at an avg of about 14.5 - 1, but I am assuming the that because of the cats, and it being a tailpipe sniffer, this was off.
I was thinking more around the 330 hp range and can't seem to find any mechanical issues. I post up the graphs once I get them emailed to me, but I would appreciate any input. The only thing I can think of was the first run the guy dynoed it in 1st! I asked him to pull through 2nd and he kept getting a downshift. I am not sure how much that would affect the results?

TCI 3500 stall. Locked or unlocked? From what I have read the TCI converters seem to be rated lower than other brands. So maybe yours is really 3800 or 3900 stall. If the run was unlocked that may well be the lower than expected horsepower ratings.
