Default Are these numbers respectable?

Alright just got off the dyno and having the tune tweaked some. Car is a 98 T/A with stock intake and heads. Has a small cam, I have no idea what the specs are on it b/c the previous owner didn't have a clue. Has Pacesetter LT's, True dual X pipe with Spintech Prostreets w/ tailpipes run under the axle. Also has an SLP lid, all the free mods deleted egr etc. Has stock 3.23's Yank SS3600 and FLT Level 4 4L60.

STD #'s 353.12 and TQ was 347.08 this is on a Dynojet

SAE #'s 345.19 and TQ was 339.28

All runs made with the converter unlocked.

I'm kinda new to the LS1 world and just wondering how the numbers look for the mods I have. I know its kinda hard to say w/out knowing what cam is actually in it.

no ls6 intake, 98 heads, no underdrive pulley, with automatic, yea, id say it would be normal for a small cam

How much of an increase would I see by adding a LS6 intake?

You may see a decent increase with the LS6 intake. Like you said, hard to say without knowing the cam size, but your numbers look pretty accurate for a small cam and your mods.

Yeah for a stock headed, intake 98 with a real small cam those numbers look fairly normal. I would think a ls6 intake would open it up more especially up top. Any graphs ?

Bump for some more info.

Well I talked to my tuner today and he had done some research and actually knew the guys whom originally built my car. Turns out the cam is a Thunder Racing 220-220, 550-550, 114.

So how am I in the numbers department now knowing what is actually in it?

thats about the size i figured the cam to be, plus i didnt notice the heavy wheels you dynod with, so thats costing ya some hp as well. so i'd still say that sounds about right, maybe a hair low, but not much. ls6 intake would gain you close 15-20ish id imagine, ud pulley 8hp, pp tb 5hp. wheels are costing ya 5-10hp depending how heavy the wheel is prolly, not really sure on that one tho.

Thanks for the input. I feel a lil better about how it runs now knowing what's actually in it. I'm already looking for an upgrade in the cam dept. and I'm probably also going to go with a Fast intake unless I find a used LS6.

look around in the for sale section, your talking $250 for ls6 intake vs $1200 for fast with new throttle body. unless your throwing in a mid 230's + cam and badass heads, then id say spring for the fast

I get FAST products from my vendor so luckily I don't have to pay retail! I was just thinking of the fast b/c I do plan on building a 408 next summer.
