Default whats the ideal AFR?

what is the ideal AFR's for a n/a motor?

i thought it was 12.5 but looking at my dyno sheet from a couple of months ago it shows 13.0 and im making 450rwhp and 382rwtq. on just boltons and a cam with stock ls6 heads.

im about to get it retune as soon as i put the ported 90/90.

so back to my question.

what is the ideal AFR's for a n/a motor?

13.0 is typicially the sweet spot.
Of course it can vary, but most cars run the best at 13.0 or somewhere in that range.

It really depends on the motor combo, but generally in the 12.5-13.0 range.. sometimes a tad leaner.

I can usually find a couple hp from slightly richer @ peak tq and slightly leaner @ peak HP. Try to add some timing in both areas and watch the results.

I see the same results as Phil. Depending on the motor/setup, typically around 12.5 at peak TQ and between 13.0-13.2 at peak HP (some more radical setups will like a bit leaner).
